THE COSTUME INSTITUTE BALL AT THE METROPOLITAN MUSEUM OF ART, NYC The Met Gala, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's Costume Institute in New York City. This is a yearly event known as the biggest event of the social season in New York City.

CARTIER’S 125TH ANNIVERSARY BALL AT MOMA, NYC Natalie Cole was a featured guest/performer singing with the orchestra. Lisa Minnelli gushed at our rendition of “Over The Rainbow”. Suzanne Summers raved over our girl’s costumes. We returned at a later date to perform for another one of Cartier’s corporate celebrations.

THE RAINBOW ROOM’S GRAND RE-OPENING IN THE SPRING OF 2000 The Orchestra performed for five weekends to celebrate the re-opening of the world famous Rainbow Room 65 floors high atop Rockefeller Center. We have also performed for many private events and socail functions held at the Rainbow Room.

THE CHRISTOPHER REEVES FOUNDATION FUNDRAISER AT THE WALDORF ASTORIA HOTEL IN NYC Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra served as entertainment for two consecutive 2 years at this wonderful event. Event attendees included; Robin Williams, Glen Close, Joanne Woodward and Chou Chou even got kissed by Paul Newman.

PARTY PLANNER ROBERT ISABELL We are often associated with internationally renowned party planner, Robert Isabell. Although located in New York, Robert Isabell, Inc. produces some of the most lavish parties throughout the world. We have worked with Robert Isabell on many New York galas as well as in Hong Kong, London, Palm Beach and many other American cities.

AUDREY HEPBURN UNICEF SOCIETY BALL Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra performed at The U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Audrey Hepburn Society Ball that celebrates the outstanding humanitarian leaders who make the work of UNICEF possible. The black tie gala society ball, held in New York City, raises critical funds for UNICEF’s lifesaving work.

NY PUBLIC LIBRARY CENTENIAL On May 23, 2011, The New York Public Library marked the 100th anniversary, with a glittering celebration of a century of extraordinary achievement.  The Library represents a dedication to serving the neediest of its residents. $2.4 million was raised to support the Library’s essential work at the gala celebration.

PRESIDENT RONALD REAGAN BIRTHDAY Ronald Reagan became the first former President since Truman to reach his 80th birthday. Among those that bought tables, (most costing $25,000 each) were American Express, Hewlett-Packard, Rockwell International, Bank of America, Unocal and Arco. Doc Scantlin and His Imperial Palms Orchestra served as entertainment.

GREEWICH, CONN HOSPITAL BENEFIT Under an art deco-style tent festooned with dangling chandeliers and glowing candlelight, close to 400 guests enjoyed “The Roaring 20’s Gala” for Greenwich, Conn. Hospital at Greenwich Country Club. Proceeds from the event, raised funds for the Emergency Department at Greenwich Hospital.
