Come to the  Secret Garden as the Omni Shoreham kicks off another summer series of great Music, fine Spirits and fun interactions.

 

This first show of the series features the incomparable Chou Chou Scantlin with the Imperial Palms Trio, an Iconic DC 30’s Band.  This is the perfect inaugural as the Shoreham enters its 90th Anniversary as the “Grand Dame of Washington”.

 

 

Expect to enjoy the taste of classic cocktails, like the Side Car or the Rickey as Chou Chou gives you a hot taste of the Art Deco music world….

New Year’s Eve with Doc and Chou Chou!

If you know anything about us, you know New Year’s Eve is kind of our thing! We have a long held reputation as one the most sophisticated and fun ways to ring in the New Year. We plan to uphold that tradition in stunning style! We are honored to be the headline attraction at Washington DC’s premium New Year’s Eve Gala at the historic Willard Intercontinental Hotel. Join Doc, Chou Chou, and our much loved Palmettos in the grand Crystal Ballroom.

Wait! There’s much more! There’s so much more! While we’re giving our all in the grand ballroom, starting with three course dinner at eight, with a jazz duo, before we take you into the New Year and beyond at nine. There’s a world of celebrations in multiple rooms! You’ll be treated to free flowing champagne, and a spectacular balloon drop in the European Discotheque with a masterly DJ. Dance the night away with a Latin salsa band, then wander a bit and enjoy the best of Reggae and Calypso in a Caribbean Paradise. Oh my yes, there’ll be Flamenco Dance performances to stir you passion (as if we don’t do that enough). Karaoke, too! Several fully stocked bars serving you until 1;30 AM, party favors, our  World Famous New Year’s Conga Line, and a positively chic crowd of bright gorgeous guests.

If you haven’t experienced Gadby’s Tavern Museum’s annual ‘Bib and Tucker Ball’, you should! This warm and loving group keeping watch over the nationally historic colonial tavern puts on the best parties! With French food and wines to tempt you throughout the Museum, and Doc Scantlin’s Palmettos in the famous Ballroom, you’ll be purring “Oo La La”.

We’ve got our own Madamoiselle Magpie to charm you with romantic French ballads while strumming her ukulele, and Moxie will dazzle with her famous Fan Dance.

Chou Chou will be in her element as Parisienne cabaret chanteuse. This charming group has even convince Chou Chou to join Maggie and Moxie in the Can Can. How could we resist these darlings? You’ll want to be there. She doesn’t flash her bloomers for just anyone, you know.

Mardi Gras and Valentine’s Day are playing footsie this year. The back to back mashup is putting us in a mischievous mood. Or maybe it’s just the anticipation of fine bourbon and chocolate.
